She sprouted more teeth, took her crawl to a walk, developed an endearing sass and talks like it ain’t no thang. Except to strangers, then she’s mute.  She became an independent little soul, likes to pick out her own shoes, pick tomatoes from her garden and occasionally pick her nose.  It could be worse. She likes to waste the day away playing Betty Homemaker in her kitchen and she’s pretty good at it, too.  Somewhere along the way she started giving real kisses, eskimo kisses, butterfly kisses and any other kiss she can get away with that will stall her going to bed.  She wears big girl panties, loves to sing and twists her body to and fro when she runs.  She thinks it’s funny this way.  We kind of agree.  She giggles straight up from her belly and when she smiles, her eyes light up and my cheeks hurt from smiling back.  She’s my blondie, my sidekick and I’m a sucker for her.
