Isla, Nana & Hoot | Tampa Bay Child Photographer

I’m not quite sure how it happened so quickly, 18 months.  Well, if we’re really counting it’s more like 19.  I stopped keeping track when I realized she could count to 5, then comfortably slipped into denial mode.

Her two besties are Nana (pronounced with a French accent) and Hoot.  She totes them everywhere and in the mornings they can be found propped up against her crib rails in a friendship circle of conversation.  “So tell me about your night, Hoot. Whadya dream about?”  Well, maybe not quite like that.  We love to sit and watch her on the monitor, our little blondie forming bonds and secret code, the ringleader amongst her crew.

She’s a daddy’s girl.  She’s a mama’s girl.  And her mama and daddy are suckers for her.  She loves to hold our hands which for now is our finger.  It reminds me of how small she still is, it makes 19 months seem less thunderous.  She makes me smile… a lot.  And she’s the worst cuddler known to man.  It’s funny how time seems to fulfill it’s cliche of flying by without warning, even so I feel like I’ve known her forever.  That she’s been a part of me since before she took her first little breaths against my neck.  It’s as if we were always meant to be, and she was always meant to be mine.  I feel so blessed, so lucky, so thankful beyond words.

Another milestone, marked.
