I feel so blessed to have had such a wonderful year. The addition of the Isla-girl to our family mix has truly fulfilled our hearts and consumed every ounce in our basket o’ love. And let me tell you, it’s a pretty big basket.
I keep saying that I want to push that freeze button and stunt this little’s growth and personality right where she is. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you that I’m glad modern technology hasn’t completely kept up with my silly daydreams. This right here, well it just keeps getting better and better. I know it sounds cliche, but it really is true.
Unexpectedly being home with Isla full time has actually become one of the greatest gifts that anyone could have given me. And a husband who fully supports me, wholeheartedly believes in me and continually amazes me with his kindness is really who I have to thank for this gift. I’m still not sure how I got so lucky. But dang I got lucky.
So right now I’m going to vow to make 2013 the best year yet. To pile up and push the limits even more of that ever-expanding basket o’ love, to chase after new dreams (scratch that, conquer new dreams!) and make even more time for family and friends and memories in the making. Because no matter how big of a flop that drive out to see the lights at the Hernando County Fairgrounds was, it was still a great memory with wonderful new friends. And there just isn’t a price tag on that sorta thing.
I was recently told, “Leap and the net will follow.” Well here I am, about to leap, and excited for my net of Kevlar to hold up it’s end of the deal. Fingers crossed ’cause that’s the plan. In the meantime, I’ve got two pairs of gorgeous blues calling at me from the living room floor. And you know what? I’m gonna oblidge.
Wishing everyone the merriest of merriest of Christmases and hoping nothing short of the best year to come. Enjoy this time together, it always goes by in a blink. Much love from the Gatti’ family.
*A huge thanks to Shan and Scott for putting up with me and making this shoot a reality. You have no idea how precious these photos are to me, and for that I’m grateful beyond belief. And a shout out to
Krysta Coggins for an awesome job on my hair. It truly takes a village. Muah.
