Every time I look at this gorgeous mama-to-be and her little bump, my body is overcome with goosebumps.  Maybe it’s the beauty she exudes, both inside and out. Or maybe it’s knowing that she’s an army wife, her husband, Jason, away for a while with no contact and then back to Afghanistan after the baby is born.  She carries these things with such grace and strength.  The thought alone would make any of us crumble at the seams, but not Sarah.  She’s just one of the beautiful women who carry a piece of our country on her back.  And she does it flawlessly.

I’m so excited for her husband to get to see these intimate images of his wife and his little baby girl growing by the day.  I can’t wait for her to tell me how her prediction of him going straight for the belly when he gets home was dead-on.  And I cannot wait for this little girl to join her family.  She has no idea how lucky she truly is.

Sarah, thank you so much for this opportunity to photograph you.  You have no idea how special it was for me.  And Jason, thank you for your sacrifices that you make for our freedom.  There are truly no words.
