When I spoke with Dan on the phone and he told me that he wanted to surprise his wife with a family photo shoot, I knew this was going to be something special.  It was just weeks before they would pack up and leave this place they’ve called home for the past 8 years, headed off on the next leg of their journey called life.  He wanted to remember his family as they were, here in Florida.  The place where they got married, bought their first house and had their two adorable boys.  There were roots planted, running deep and not to be forgotten any time soon.

Just thinking about the moment when I showed the Davie’s their photos fills every inch of me with goosebumps.  I looked up at Lena, cheeks wet and tears running freely, “Those are my boys!” she said.  Whew, gets me every time. What a beautiful and wonderful family to have had the opportunity to work with.  I’m sad we got to meet as you depart this sunny land, but so glad that we did.  Wishing you nothing but the best on your new adventure together.
