There is so much that goes into taking a great photo other than your camera settings. That’s right, I said it. It’s not all about your camera! There is the lighting, your subject and the angle at which you capture their sweet souls. There is your focus, your zoom and knowing what to look for that may detract from (or add to) a photo. Then there are a few little buttons on your camera you can work like a champ – yep, as a beginner!
Sound like a lot? It can be, but I’m breakin’ it all down into a fun, info-packed evening that will have you walking away with your big-girl camera in hand and a little more confidence in your step. You’ll also walk away with cheat sheets to tuck into your camera bag, goodies AND access to a private Facebook group where you can post follow up questions, photos and connect with the other fabulous women from the workshop.
Oh, and there will be wine. Did I mention that? Yes, definitely wine. And cheese. And desserts from a fabulous local chick who makes amazing things. You won’t want to miss this!
But the biggest takeaway? That would be empowering you and giving you the basic tools you need to create your story. The one that shows the day your child found their confidence in the water, when they discovered the beauty of dancing in the rain, the first time they slid across snow. Their curiosity and the stuffed animal (or blankie) they keep as company. The grin that goes from cheek to cheek that makes you smile so big, your own cheeks hurt. I love your photography and editing! When are you having another workshop? I’m a working mom of a toddler and infant and want to learn how to take better photos of the kiddos. I already know how to use my camera on manual settings so I’d describe myself as an intermediate photographer. Thanks!
